2019 final registers of electors published today

"A total of 4 132 977 electors are carried in the newly issued final register for the geographical constituencies. These registered electors are eligible to vote in the District Council Ordinary Election in November," a spokesman for the Registration and Electoral Office (REO) said.
The distribution of electors for the five geographical constituencies is as follows:

The final register for the District Council (second) functional constituency contains 3 861 684 electors.
For the functional constituencies (other than the District Council (second) functional constituency), 229 750 electors are listed in the final register.
The final register for the Election Committee subsectors contains 236 760 voters.
"A net increase of about 14,000 of registered electors has been recorded in the 2019 final registers compared to the provisional registers. The figures reflect the follow-up actions by the REO with the applicants after the publication of the provisional registers, which mainly include people who returned the reply slips in time to the REO to resume their voter registration status, and those who supplemented the REO with complete information. With the approval of the Revising Officer, they have been included in the final register," the spokesman said.
The electoral records of about 484 281 electors of geographical constituencies have been updated for the compilation of the final registers.
Statistical information about these final registers is available on the voter registration website (www.voterregistration.gov.hk).
A full set of the final register for geographical constituencies and the District Council (second) functional constituency can be inspected during ordinary business hours (9am to 12.30pm and 1.30pm to 6pm) from Monday to Friday at the REO on 10/F, Harbour Centre, 25 Harbour Road, Wan Chai. The relevant section of the register pertinent to a particular district is also available for public inspection at the respective District Office during its office hours.
For functional constituencies (other than the District Council (second) functional constituency) and Election Committee subsectors, full copies of the final registers are available for public inspection at the REO's Harbour Centre office and its office on 13/F, Kowloonbay International Trade & Exhibition Centre, 1 Trademart Drive, Kowloon Bay, and the Home Affairs Enquiry Centre in Central, Mong Kok, Kwun Tong, Tsuen Wan and Sha Tin.
Notices on the inspection of the final registers were gazetted today.
