Secretary for Transport and Housing: We would not rule out any possibility, but at this stage, we won't speculate on any particular suggestions.
Reporter: Would the Government try to make sure the matters will be properly investigated and the MTR would be liable for any problem it has caused? Would that warrant another commission of inquiry for this matter?
Secretary for Transport and Housing: As I have just mentioned, we wouldn't speculate on any suggestions as the cause of the incident at this moment in time. Let's wait and see until a comprehensive and in-depth investigation is completed by the EMSD (Electrical and Mechanical Services Department) and other concerned departments.
Reporter: If you don't know what caused it, how can you assure passengers it will be safe riding on the MTR?
Secretary for Transport and Housing: As far as the Mass Transit Railway (MTR Corporation Limited) is concerned, they would exercise vigilance to ensure that the system is running safely and smoothly to enable passengers to have a nice ride.
