Transcript of remarks by S for S
********************************
Following is the transcript of remarks by the Secretary for Security, Mr John Lee, at a media briefing after attending the Legislative Council meeting this afternoon (March 21):

Reporter: Secretary, how hard is the visit and how is sending people to Taiwan going to help with the way that the authorities will be taking forward on how to handle this case?

Secretary for Security: I think at this stage the most important thing that we need to do is to investigate and collect evidence that will assist in the investigation, and in due course assist the Court in deciding how we go about this case. The Police have sent officers to the other jurisdiction so as to examine how the investigation can be taken forward. The investigation work is being actively pursued. I will look to my officers in the Police to handle the investigation. When more evidence is gathered, then we can examine how best we can take forward the case in accordance with the laws and legal framework of Hong Kong.
