EPD convictions in February

Eight of the convictions were under the Air Pollution Control Ordinance, four were under the Dumping at Sea Ordinance, four were under the Noise Control Ordinance, three were under the Product Eco-responsibility Ordinance, 35 were under the Waste Disposal Ordinance, and four were under the Water Pollution Control Ordinance.
The heaviest fine in February was $25,000, assessed against a company for carrying out prescribed construction work in a designated area without a valid construction noise permit.
