The following is issued on behalf of the Council for Sustainable Development:

The Council for Sustainable Development (SDC) is now inviting entries from all full-time students enrolling in local undergraduate programmes to compete for the second round of the Sustainable Development Promotion Award for Students of Higher Education Institutions (SDPA).

A spokesperson for the SDC said today (December 18), "The SDC has been striving to promote public awareness and understanding of the principles of sustainable development in Hong Kong. A number of education and publicity activities have been held for various sectors of the community. The SDPA is an initiative designed for undergraduate students.

"The SDPA, which was first held in 2016, aims to encourage undergraduate students to plan and implement projects which can apply the concept of sustainable development in their daily lives and spread the message to the community. Awards will be given to outstanding proposals and projects that best meet the aim."
