Public to select Best Home Affairs Enquiry Centre
*************************************************
The Home Affairs Department (HAD) will conduct a questionnaire survey for the Best Home Affairs Enquiry Centre Service Awards 2017 from December 13 to January 5. Members of the public are invited to assess the service standard of the Home Affairs Enquiry Centres (HAECs) with a view to selecting the Best Home Affairs Enquiry Centre.

A spokesman for the HAD today (December 11) said, "By granting the awards, the department would like to give recognition to front-line staff who excel themselves in the delivery of public enquiry service, and to encourage them to serve the community in a professional manner and further upgrade the service standard of the HAECs, which serve as a bridge between the department and members of the public."

Members of the public who visit the 20 HAECs during the survey period will be invited to assess the performance of the staff and service standard of the Centre they visit by completing a questionnaire. The Best Home Affairs Enquiry Centre will be selected by the scores of the survey, together with the results of an internal assessment. The weighting of the public questionnaire survey and the internal assessments is 80 per cent and 20 per cent respectively.

A total of eight prizes will be awarded. The results will be announced through the department's website in the second quarter next year and a presentation ceremony will be held.
