Transcript of remarks of SFH at media session
*********************************************
Following is the transcript of remarks made by the Secretary for Food and Health, Professor Sophia Chan, after attending the ceremony of Organ Donation Day 2017 and the ninth anniversary of the launching of the Centralised Organ Donation Register today (November 11):

Reporter: Has the flu season arrived? What kind of preparation is the Hospital Authority doing to tackle the surge of patients?

Secretary for Food and Health: According to the surveillance by the Centre for Health Protection, the flu situation is still not at its height now. We understand that some of the hospitals, or some of the medical wards, have occupancy over 100 per cent. But this is only happening in some of the hospitals. The Hospital Authority has already had their measures to deal with this situation, such as increasing manpower and beds. Obviously, the flu season will be at its height, probably later in the year or early next year, according to previous experience. The Hospital Authority has plans to deal with the situation.
