Approved Kam Tin South Outline Zoning Plan amended
The Town Planning Board today (November 3) announced amendments to the approved Kam Tin South Outline Zoning Plan (OZP).

The amendments mainly involve the rezoning of various sites, including three sites to the south of Tung Wui Road Station from "Agriculture" ("AGR") or "Other Specified Uses" annotated "Rural Use" to "Residential (Group A)" with stipulation of building height restriction for medium-density residential developments; two sites to the south of Tung Wui Road from "AGR" to "Government, Institution or Community" for primary schools and government, institution or community uses; and part of Tung Wui Road and Kam Ho Road from "AGR" to area shown as "Road". Opportunity is also taken to amend the Notes and the Explanatory Statement of the OZP to reflect the above amendments and to update the general information of various land use zonings, where appropriate.

The draft Kam Tin South OZP No. S/YL-KTS/14, incorporating the amendments, is now available for public inspection during office hours at the Secretariat of the Board; the Planning Enquiry Counters of the Planning Department in North Point and Sha Tin; the Fanling, Sheung Shui and Yuen Long East District Planning Office; the Yuen Long District Office; the Kam Tin Rural Committee; and the Pat Heung Rural Committee.

Any person may make written representation in respect of the amendments to the Secretary of the Board on or before January 3, 2018. Representations made to the Board will be available for public inspection.

Copies of the draft Kam Tin South OZP are available for sale at the Map Publications Centres in North Point and Yau Ma Tei. The electronic version of the OZP can be viewed at the Board's website (www.info.gov.hk/tpb).
