Forum on Hong Kong/Guangdong Liberalisation of Trade in Services cum Promotion of Key Demonstration Bases in Guangdong (with photos)

     The Trade and Industry Department of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government and the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of the People's Government of Guangdong Province co-organised the "Forum on Hong Kong/Guangdong Liberalisation of Trade in Services cum Promotion of Key Demonstration Bases in Guangdong" today (December 19). The forum aimed to familiarise the trade with the implementation arrangements in Guangdong under the Agreement on Trade in Services signed under the framework of the Mainland and Hong Kong Closer Economic Partnership Arrangement (CEPA). The forum also introduced measures relating to the Guangdong Pilot Free Trade Zone and promoted several key demonstration bases for liberalisation of trade in services in Guangdong Province.

     The Director-General of Trade and Industry, Ms Salina Yan, and the Director General of the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of the People's Government of Guangdong Province, Mr Liao Jingshan, attended the forum and delivered speeches.

     Representatives from the People's Government of Guangdong Province also answered questions from Hong Kong businessmen at the forum.
