R & T to stage original tap-dance musical "Fay" in January
**********************************************************
Local dance group R & T (Rhythm & Tempo) will perform its original tap-dance musical production "Fay" in January next year.

The story follows Fay, an orphan who has been well looked after by old shoemaker Uncle Hoi since she was very young, and who wears tap shoes and likes to dance. One day, the government decrees that only eligible dancers can perform tap dance. To ensure that Fay can continue to dance, Uncle Hoi decides to get help from an old friend. Meanwhile, Fay meets a boy called Alex. As the story continues, Fay fights hard to make her dream come true.

"Fay" is written by Yu Hon-ting, directed by Benny Yu and choreographed by Ken Kwok, while the tap-dancers are Ken Kwok, Annie Wong, Ling Tse, Natalie Hung, Krystal Leung, Marc Ngan and Cissy Ma.

Established in 2008, R & T has performed various stage productions and school tours, community promotions and workshops to promote and develop tap-dancing in Hong Kong, as well as enhancing local audiences' understanding of tap-dance.

"Fay" is presented by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department. It will be staged at 8pm on January 13 and 14 (Friday and Saturday) and at 3pm on January 15 (Sunday) at the Theatre of Ngau Chi Wan Civic Centre.
