Voters called on to take part in Hong Kong Arts Development Council nomination exercise

     The Home Affairs Bureau today (November 25) urged voters to actively take part in polling for the 2016 nomination of representatives of arts interests for the Hong Kong Arts Development Council (HKADC), to be held on November 27 and 28.

     A spokesman for the Home Affairs Bureau said, "We look forward to the active participation of voters on the two polling days. The poll is to nominate representatives to be submitted to the Chief Executive for consideration of appointment to the HKADC for the next term commencing January 1, 2017. HKADC members will assist the Council in planning, promoting and supporting the development of the arts in Hong Kong."

     Cross-arts interest voting will continue to be adopted this year. Voters from the 10 arts interests may cast votes for candidates standing for nomination in the six contested arts interests. Polling will take place from 8am to 10pm daily on November 27 and 28 at Mong Kok Community Hall, L2, Mong Kok Complex, 557 Shanghai Street, Mong Kok. Candidates for the six contested arts interests are as follows:
