Second-day auction results for Victoria Park Lunar New Year Fair stalls
A total of 140 dry goods stalls and eight thematic stalls were successfully let on the second day auction for stalls at the 2016 Victoria Park Lunar New Year Fair today (November 8).

Some 1150 people attended the auction at Queen Elizabeth Stadium in Wan Chai from 9am to 7pm today, a spokesman for the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department said.

The average bid price for the dry goods stalls today was $23,992, with the successful bids ranging from $13,710 to $72,000. The highest bid, $72,000, today was almost five times the opening price of $13,710.

The auction for the remaining 144 dry goods stalls will be held at 9am tomorrow (November 9) at the same venue.

The spokesman reminded the successful bidders not to assign, sublet, transfer or otherwise part with any of the benefits or obligations of the licence agreement. Otherwise, the department may terminate the agreement and the licensee shall immediately vacate the stalls. Licence fee will not be refunded.
