CS to visit UK and Germany

     The Chief Secretary for Administration, Mrs Carrie Lam, will visit London, Frankfurt and Düsseldorf from September 25 to 29 to take part in major promotional events organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) in the three cities.

     Mrs Lam will depart for London in the early hours of September 25. While in London on September 25 and 26 (London time), she will attend the "Hong Kong Dinner in London" organised by the HKTDC. She will meet with senior government officials, as well as members of the business and professional sectors, to update them on Hong Kong's latest developments and promote bilateral exchanges. She will also take the opportunity to visit the newly opened Tate Modern museum extension and meet with Hong Kong students studying in the United Kingdom.

     Mrs Lam will then go to Frankfurt and Düsseldorf to attend the "Think Asia, Think Hong Kong" events organised by the HKTDC in these two cities on September 27 and 28 (Germany time) respectively.

     Mrs Lam will return to Hong Kong on September 29. During her absence, the Secretary for Labour and Welfare, Mr Matthew Cheung Kin-chung, will act as Chief Secretary for Administration.
