Special traffic arrangements on Hong Kong Island for public processions

     Police will implement special traffic arrangements to facilitate two public processions to be held on Hong Kong Island this Sunday (April 26).

(1)

     The following roads will be intermittently closed from 10.45am until the crowd is dispersed:

- Eastbound Des Voeux Road Central;
- Eastbound Queensway between Des Voeux Road Central and Tamar Street;
- Northbound Tamar Street; and
- Fast lane of Garden Road flyover, if necessary.

(2)

     The following roads will be intermittently closed from 12.15pm until the crowd is dispersed:

- Marble Road;
- Kam Hong Street;
- Westbound King¡¦s Road;
- Westbound Causeway Road;
- Westbound Irving Street;
- Northbound Pennington Street;
- Westbound Yee Wo Street;
- Westbound Hennessy Road;
- Westbound Queensway;
- Westbound Des Voeux Road Central;
- Northbound Ice House Street;
- Connaught Road Central; and
- Edinburgh Place.

     Vehicles may not be permitted to leave car parks along the procession routes during the road closure period.

     Actual implementation of the traffic arrangements will be made depending on traffic and crowd conditions in the area. Motorists are advised to exercise tolerance and patience and take heed of instructions of the Police on site.
