Transcript of remarks by CE-elect
*********************************

Following is the transcript of remarks by the Chief Executive-elect, Mr C Y Leung, at the lobby of the West Wing, Central Government Offices today (March 30):

Reporter: Over the past few weeks, you got to different districts to meet locals, how do you feel so far with various comments?

Chief Executive-elect: Reaching out to the community, including the various neighbourhoods in Hong Kong, has been very much part of my work and part of my style in public service. I've been doing this for the past 20-something years, ever since I took up the position as Secretary-General of the Basic Law Consultative Committee. And I shall continue to do that as it has been very useful to my work to be able to listen to the people, the people whom I serve, at close quarters and listen to them directly their expectation of my work. And so I will continue to do that. Over the next few days, few weeks, few months, it will be very much the event in my diary.

(Please also refer to the Chinese portion of the transcript.)
