The Lands Department registered 15 lease modifications and two land exchanges in the Land Registry during the quarter ending September 2009, of which eight were modifications of technical nature involving nil premium.
Among these 17 land transactions, seven are located on Hong Kong Island, five in Kowloon and five in the New Territories. The transactions exclude Small House cases.
Another two lots were granted by private treaty during the period. One was for an electricity substation in Kowloon and the other one was granted to the Hong Kong Housing Authority in respect of existing public housing development.
A spokesman for the Lands Department said today (October 15) that the land transactions realised a total land premium of about $771.63 million.
Transaction records of the lease modifications, land exchanges and private treaty grants including those registered recently are uploaded onto Lands Department's website (www.landsd.gov.hk) on a monthly basis. Further case details may also be obtained by searching the registered documents directly in the Land Registry.
