Celebration of the 20th Anniversary of the Establishment of the HKSAR - Tai Po Music and Arts Carnival to be held tomorrow
     The Tai Po District Office will hold the Celebration of the 20th Anniversary of the Establishment of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region - Tai Po Music and Arts Carnival tomorrow (June 30) at Tai Po Waterfront Park. Members of the public are invited to join in and admission is free.

     The carnival will be held from 2pm to 10.30pm, featuring a wide range of stage performances such as juggling by a Guangzhou professional youth troupe, dancing by ethnic minority children, tai chi demonstrations, street dance by youth groups, hand chimes and a singing performance. The evening concert, which starts at 9pm, will feature well-known singers of different generations performing classic songs. There will also be arts booths and a photo-taking opportunity where participants can take instant photos with ponies for free. Social enterprises and food trucks under the Food Truck Pilot Scheme will also sell a range of specialty food at the venue.
     To assist the public in joining the carnival, a free shuttle bus service will be available between different locations in Tai Po and the park from 1.30pm onwards.

     The carnival is an outdoor event suitable for all ages. Seats at the Amphitheatre are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. The public are also invited to enjoy the live broadcast via the LED monitor in the kite-flying area in the park.
