The Government announced today (June 1) that the Chief Executive has appointed Mr Vincent Lo Wing-sang as Chairman of the Advisory Committee on Post-service Employment of Civil Servants from June 1, 2016, to August 31, 2017. Mr Lo will succeed Professor Chan Yuk-shee, who has tendered his resignation from the chairmanship for health reasons.

Professor Chan had served on the Committee since July 14, 2013. He was appointed as the Chairman from July 14, 2015, to July 13, 2017. Professor Chan recently tendered for health reasons his resignation from the chairmanship, which was accepted by the Chief Executive.

The Secretary for the Civil Service, Mr Clement Cheung, said, "The Government is grateful to Professor Chan for his outstanding performance and dedicated contribution to the work of the Committee. We are sad to hear about his departure, and we would like to offer him our best wishes."
