Power supply incident at Shun Tak Fraternal Association Leung Kau Kui Clinic

The following is issued on behalf of the Hospital Authority:

     The spokesperson of Kowloon Central Cluster made the following announcement today (May 10) on a power supply incident at Shun Tak Fraternal Association Leung Kau Kui Clinic:

     Due to a power disruption at the To Kwa Wan Market and Government Offices building, the power supply at Shun Tak Fraternal Association Leung Kau Kui Clinic on the second floor of the building was disrupted at around 9.45am, affecting the clinic's air-conditioning and computer system. The clinic could only provide limited consultation services and drug dispensing services were temporarily suspended during the power outage. The clinic lighting remained normal.

     The clinic activated its contingency measures, referring 12 patients to nearby clinics for consultations, with 10 patients being sent to Lee Kee Memorial Dispensary and two patients going to Hung Hom Clinic. In addition, five patients had to return to Shun Tak Fraternal Association Leung Kau Kui Clinic in the afternoon for collection of drugs, two patients needed to collect their drugs at Queen Elizabeth Hospital and one patient needed to collect drugs at Hung Hom Clinic.

     Power supply returned to normal at around 11am this morning. The clinic has resumed its normal service. The Cluster apologised for inconvenience caused to the affected patients.
