The spokesperson for the Hong Kong Red Cross Blood Transfusion Service (BTS) announced today (April 27) that the existing Mongkok Donor Centre located at 11/F, Ginza Plaza, 2A Sai Yeung Choi Street South, Mongkok will be relocated to 15/F, Chow Tai Fook Centre, 580A Nathan Road, Mongkok with effect from May 4 (Wednesday).
The service hours of the new donor centre will remain unchanged. Details are as below:
Monday to Saturday: 11am to 9.30pm
Sunday and Public Holidays: 11am to 7pm
The new donor centre is spacious and its comfortable environment will bring a refreshing experience for donors. As a token of appreciation, every successful donor at the new donor centre will be awarded a commemorative key ring, available while stock lasts.
Anyone who is aged between 16 and 60 (donation is possible up to the age of 70 if predetermined conditions are met), weighs over 41 kilograms and is in good health is eligible to give blood. Male and female adult donors aged 18 or above can donate every 75 days and every 105 days respectively. Youths aged between 16 and 17 can donate every 150 days.
