The Hong Kong Housing Authority (HA) announced today (February 21) that eligible applicants may submit applications for the purchase of flats under the joint application exercise of the HA's Sale of Home Ownership Scheme (HOS) Flats 2016 and the Hong Kong Housing Society (HS)'s Subsidised Sale Flats Project from February 29 to March 14, 2016. Application forms and application guides, an overview of the main sales arrangements and sales booklets of the two HOS developments will be available starting tomorrow (February 22).
Virtual show flat walkthrough videos and physical doll houses using the building information modelling technique, building models and exhibition panels providing information on the two HOS developments for sale - Ka Shun Court in Sha Tin and Ping Yan Court in Ping Shan, Yuen Long - will be displayed at the HA Customer Service Centre (HACSC) in Lok Fu from 8am to 7pm every day between tomorrow (February 22) and March 14.
"We will also adopt a two-stage approach for the distribution of sales materials to the public and prospective purchasers," a spokesman for the HA said.
Sales booklets with basic and essential information of the HOS developments and price ranges, which are considered sufficient for the information of the applicants before submitting their applications, will be made available to the public from February 22 to March 14.
"Upon passing detailed vetting, successful applicants will be provided with the sales brochures and price lists when the HA invites them to attend the flat selection, so that they will have further details of the developments before making the decision to purchase. Hard copies of the sales brochures and price lists will also be made available for public collection at the HACSC while electronic copies will be uploaded to the designated websites for the respective HOS developments before commencement of the flat selection period," the spokesman said.
"The application period will run from February 29 until 7pm on March 14, 2016. Applications submitted before the application period or after the closing time will not be accepted," the spokesman said.
Apart from the HACSC, application forms and application guides, an overview of the main sales arrangements and sales booklets can also be obtained during office hours from the Estate Offices and District Tenancy Management Offices of the HA, Estate Offices of the HS, the Public Enquiry Service Centres of the Home Affairs Department and the Sham Shui Po Housing Information Centre.
"Members of the public are also encouraged to make good use of the website for the Sale of HOS Flats 2016 (www.housingauthority.gov.hk/hos/2016) where they can gather the necessary sales materials and view the virtual show flat walkthrough videos," the spokesman said.
"Balloting is expected to be held in May 2016 to determine the order of detailed eligibility vetting of the applicants. It is expected that successful applicants will be invited for flat selection starting from July 2016 according to their priority order," the spokesman said.
Members of the public may visit the HACSC from 8am to 7pm during the application period or call the HA's 24-hour Sales Hotline on 2712 8000 on application matters for the two HOS developments. For enquiries on developments of the HS, they should call the HS Sales Hotline on 8101 2238.
