Singaporean investor Dining Workshop is adding four new restaurants to its Hong Kong chain, with two opening today (December 4) and two more outlets to open next Monday (December 7), casting a vote of confidence in the city's thriving food and beverage (F&B) industry.

The four outlets under two new restaurants are Urban Park, which serves modern European cuisine in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere surrounded by greenery and is great for open-air entertaining and events, and Yum Cha, which offers contemporary Chinese dim sum with a playful twist in a vibrant East meets West atmosphere. Both restaurants are located in the busy Granville Road tourist area of Tsim Sha Tsui and in Central.

Partner of Dining Workshop Mr Benjamin Ang said, "Before venturing out to establish Dining Workshop, as an operator we've opened a number of restaurants in Hong Kong before and they are all doing very well. It shows that there is a huge demand for quality casual dining eateries. That is why we decided to venture and invest in and use Hong Kong as the window to showcase our modern restaurant concepts."

He added, "Hong Kong is a cosmopolitan city that captures an international audience as well as one of the world's best-known culinary capitals. People here have a more discerning taste and are also more receptive to new ideas and concepts. The city offers companies and brands a great springboard to Mainland China and other Asian cities, after marking its presence in Hong Kong."

Associate Director-General of Investment Promotion Dr Jimmy Chiang said, "We are happy to see that Dining Workshop is expanding in Hong Kong with two brand new restaurants. It shows a vote of confidence in Hong Kong's F&B industry, as foreign players in the sector are using our city to showcase their excellent food concepts to the world."
