Dr Sun Yat-sen Museum to hold fun day this Sunday
*************************************************

The Dr Sun Yat-sen Museum will hold a fun day this Sunday (November 15). With a wide array of interesting programmes, the event aims to enhance public understanding of the Dr Sun Yat-sen Museum as well as the path of Dr Sun's revolution. Members of the public are welcome to attend with free admission.

Visitors can take part in a variety of programmes, including the "Fitting Room of the Early Republican Period" photo-taking session, the making of "Old Hong Kong" vintage calendar posters and the "Know the Museum" orienteering game. Performances of windpipe Chinese music and brass band music, as well as a movie screening, will also be arranged.

In addition, two sessions of guided tours (in Cantonese), each running for about 60 minutes, on the themes "Hong Kong in Dr Sun Yat-sen's Time" and "Dr Sun Yat-sen and Modern China" will be held. Visitors can register on-site on a first-come, first-served basis.

Visitors can also take the opportunity to visit the Museum's permanent exhibitions. Through viewing a number of precious historical artefacts and a wide range of audiovisual programmes, visitors will be able to learn more about the life and career of Dr Sun, and Hong Kong's vital role in the reform movements and revolutionary activities in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

Organised by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department, the fun day will be held from 10am to 7pm. For details, please visit the Dr Sun Yat-sen Museum's website at hk.drsunyatsen.museum or call 3580 6780.
