Ivanhoe Lam and Max Lee's latest works to launch Dance On Series in October
**********************************************************

The Leisure and Cultural Services Department's Dance On Series opens with a double-bill programme featuring the latest works of local choreographers Ivanhoe Lam and Max Lee in late October.

Multi-discipline choreographer Ivanhoe Lam will perform his latest work "ODDs". When individuals cross each other's path an invisible connection takes place, but do we realise its existence? For this performance Lam will partner with talented dancer Shirley Tsoi Wan-wa. Along with other team members comprising Swiss composer Benjamin Ryser, sound installation artist Fabian Gutscher, veteran stage designer Lee Chi-wai, and video designer Shing Pok-man, they seek to forge an orbit within the soul that allows for introspection.

"Galaxy Dreamer" by Max Lee combines images and dance crossover to create a nebulous reality. As an allegory of real life unfolds, a real but invisible dreamer moves in the space between dreams and a life where dreams are lost, carving a starry sky from the wasted city. The performance argues that a kind of beauty comes from decay, and decay is actually a kind of enlightenment.

The double-bill programme will be staged at 8pm on October 30 and 31 (Friday and Saturday) and at 3pm on October 31 and November 1 (Saturday and Sunday) at the Black Box Theatre, Kwai Tsing Theatre. Tickets priced at $160 are now available at URBTIX. Half-price tickets are available for senior citizens aged 60 or above, people with disabilities and their minders, full-time students and Comprehensive Social Security Assistance (CSSA) recipients (limited tickets for CSSA recipients are available on a first-come, first-served basis).
