Following is the transcript of remarks made by the Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development, Mr Gregory So, on Asia Television Limited (ATV) after attending the cocktail reception of "The Art of Entrepreneurs" Exhibition today (September 11):
Reporter: (On the shareholding change of ATV.)
Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development: Whether they have reached the term by transferring the shares at this point of time, I really do not know the exact situation as to the nature or the status of the transaction. They have submitted an application to the Communications Authority. I'm sure the Communications Authority will look at all the facts to come to a determination. But I reiterate my point made in Chinese earlier: before any transaction of shareholders changes, they need to get the approval of the Communications Authority. That would be the proper procedure.
