Following is the transcript of remarks by the Secretary for Education, Mr Eddie Ng Hak-kim, at a media session after officiating at the prize presentation ceremony of "Art@School" Exhibition today (August 30):

Reporter: Don't you think it's appropriate to at least buy water filters for all schools and not just some schools?

Secretary for Education: As I said, we understand quite a number of schools have already installed and have been deploying their specific water filters. The idea is with limited supply here and there, and we also understand from the schools the major concern is the availability of those products. They really want to have the Education Bureau as well as the Government to help as a group purchaser in the first place in order to have those items. Let me stress, I just talked to some of the school sponsoring bodies like Po Leung Kuk. Many of their kindergartens and primary schools and so on have already had their own water filter equipments there. For those need to update, review, or double-check on the specific brand and the specific sort of registered products, they just want to recheck on this one. That is the background.
