The Site Safety Forum for Works Contracts and Property Services Contracts 2015, jointly organised by the Hong Kong Housing Authority (HA) and the Occupational Safety and Health Council, was held today (July 15) to promote site safety awareness.
The theme of this year's forum was "Process Control Programme - Strictly Follow Work Procedures to Prevent Accident". The forum focused on the importance of process control and how working step by step can efficiently prevent accidents. Professionals from the construction, property management and cleaning services sectors were invited to present practical information on site safety and share their successful experience with over 600 participants.
The Award Presentation for the Competition on Pointing and Calling was held at the Forum this year to commend companies with outstanding performance in promoting the good practice of pointing and calling on the HA's new works sites. The implementation of the Pointing and Calling Program has effectively strengthened the attentiveness of employees to reduce human error and enhance safety in high risk work procedures.
The Site Safety Forum for Works Contracts and Property Services Contracts is organised annually with the aim of facilitating information and experience exchange among the industry to enhance site safety awareness and establish proper attitudes, values and visions towards safety.
