The Tai Po Youth Network under the Tai Po District Office will hold the Tai Po Business and Career Expo from 11am to 7pm this Saturday (July 4) in Tai Po Hui Sports Centre, 7/F, Tai Po Complex, 8 Heung Sze Wui Street, Tai Po. Admission is free and job seekers are welcome to visit the Expo.
The themes of the Expo are business start-ups and career development. More than 50 exhibitors covering enterprises from the four pillar industries, the creative industry, local business associations, professional bodies and government departments will participate in the Expo, briefing job seekers on the information and career prospects of different industries and giving them professional advice on business start-ups. Some exhibitors will provide information on vacancies as well as conduct recruitment exercises on the spot.
Apart from the information booths, the organiser has invited a dozen well-known figures from various industries to speak on the latest developments and opportunities arising from their respective sectors and share with the audience some interview skills and tips. They include the Chairman of the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce, Mr Pang Yiu-kai; the Director of Metro Finance Digital of Metro Broadcast Corporation Limited, Mr Alaric Chu; and young scientist and entrepreneur Mr Chan Yik-hei.
The Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury, Professor K C Chan, will officiate at the ceremony of the Expo to be held at 2.30pm and meet with young people participating in the event.
The Expo is co-organised by the Hong Kong Securities Professionals Association, Junior Chamber International Dragon, Rotary Club of Tai Po and the Hong Kong Student Activity Committee.
