The Police Recruitment Day 2015 (Spring) organised by the Hong Kong Police Force was held today (May 2) at Wanchai Police Headquarters, recruiting Probationary Inspectors (PIs), Police Constable (RPCs) and Police Constable (Auxiliary). A total of about 1,300 applications were received.
The Force has been adopting a proactive recruitment strategy to attract high calibre candidates who possess the required competencies as a police officer. A series of recruitment and publicity campaigns, such as Recruitment Day, are launched on an annual basis to reach out to potential candidates. Apart from traditional Recruitment Days, Spring Recruitment Day was added this year to facilitate applicants to attend Recruitment activity during long weekend. Recruitment Day provided one-stop service to applicants for the post of Probationary Inspector (PI), which included initial screening and scheduling of written examination, to applicants for the post of Police Constable (PC) with initial screening and group interview completed on the day, and to applicants for the post of Police Constable (Auxiliary) with initial screening, a seminar and scheduling of physical fitness test conducted.
Upon completion of the selection process, successful Probationary Inspector and Police Constable applicants will undergo foundation training at Wong Chuk Hang Police College, while successful Police Constable (Auxiliary) applicants will undergo foundation training at Kowloon Bay Auxiliary Police Headquarters.
As usual, Police Recruitment Division will conduct Summer Recruitment Day in July and Winter Recruitment Day by the end of this year. The schedule of Summer Recruitment Day has already been scheduled on July 25, 2015.
