Invest Hong Kong (InvestHK) has appointed Dr Jimmy Chiang as Associate Director-General effective today (April 16).
Mr Chiang, 42, will take up the job from outgoing incumbent Mr Andrew Davis, and will oversee the department's investment promotion strategies in the areas of creative industries, consumer products, transport and industrial, tourism and hospitality and business and professional services.
The Director-General of Investment Promotion, Mr Simon Galpin, said, "Mr Chiang has accumulated valuable experience during his tenure at InvestHK. He joined the department in 2003 and is keen to take on the new challenges that the role will afford him."
Mr Chiang was previously Head of the Tourism and Hospitality Team. He said, "I am excited about my new role and the opportunity to continue to contribute to InvestHK. I look forward to working with my colleagues to continue promoting Hong Kong's business advantages to foreign investors and assisting them to set up in Hong Kong."
Mr Davis joined the department in 2010. Mr Galpin thanked him for his tremendous contribution to InvestHK during the past five years.
