Argentinian group to perform with ladders in acrobatic stage show
************************************************************

Argentina's Compañía La Arena will take to the stage with its acrobatic show "Fulanos" in April. The production is the finale programme of this year's "Miracle Fun" Series presented by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department.

"Fulanos" is a series of humorous scenes based on daily life, performed with an explosive and contagious energy that exhilarates the audience. Using six ladders in countless ways and constantly changing their purpose and the spatial design of the stage, the "Fulanos" performers sometimes somersault on the ladders, sometimes dance through the rungs of ladders, and interacting physically, take the audience on a journey through different moods.

Compañía La Arena reveals facets of human nature through the poetry of movement, always seeking to create amazement, fun and excitement. The company has become a benchmark for Argentina's "new circus" style, with artists who are all-in-one acrobats, actors and dancers. Their performances combine acrobatics, dance, music and drama. Their audacious skills, subtle humour, and creative use of space and objects to explore myriad possibilities have enabled the group to captivate an extensive audience of loyal enthusiasts.

"Fulanos" will be staged at 8pm on April 17 and 18 (Friday and Saturday) and 3pm on April 19 (Sunday) at the Theatre of Sheung Wan Civic Centre, with limited English dialogue and Chinese and English surtitles. Tickets priced at $140, $180 and $240 are now available at URBTIX. Half-price tickets are available for senior citizens aged 60 or above, people with disabilities and their minders, full-time students and Comprehensive Social Security Assistance (CSSA) recipients (limited tickets for CSSA recipients are available on a first-come, first-served basis).
