Following is the transcript of remarks by the Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury, Professor K C Chan, at a media session after attending the Finance Committee meeting at the Legislative Council this morning (February 3):
Reporter: (On reshuffling of the agenda to press ahead with the funding of the Innovation and Technology Bureau.)
Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury: We are not reshuffling the agenda per se, but we have an item that has been sitting there for deliberation. It is necessary for the Government to alter the content of the document. It is not uncommon at all for the Government to withdraw an item even under discussion. We have done it before, so there is nothing unusual about it. Thank you.
