TD reminds public to pay attention to special traffic and transport arrangement

     The spokesman for the Transport Department said today (September 28) that due to emergency road closure in the vicinity of Central and Wan Chai, affected public transport services, including bus routes and Green minibus routes, may continue to be suspended or diverted tomorrow.  Details are as below:

Cross Harbour routes:

* Cross Harbour Tunnel Routes travelling via Central and Wai Chai (including Routes 101, 101X, 103, 103P, 104, 109, 111, 111P, 113, 115, 115P, 182, 301, 305): service may be suspended.
* Western Harbour Crossing Routes (Central bound): service may be truncated at Western Fire Services Street
* Eastern Harbour Crossing Routes (Central bound): service may be truncated at Tin Hau
* Cross Harbour Tunnel Routes (Eastern/Southern District bound): frequency may be reduced

Hong Kong Island routes:

* Routes from Eastern District (Central/Western District bound): service may be truncated at Canal Road Bus Lane.
* Routes from Western District (Central/Eastern District bound): service may be truncated at Exchange Square.
* Citybus Routes 3B, 12, 12A, 12M, New World First Bus Routes 23 may be suspended.

Tram services between Western Market and Tin Lok Lane may be suspended

MTR

MTR services may be affected. Members of the public are advised to pay attention to MTR announcements tomorrow morning.

     Members of the public heading for areas on Hong Kong Island are advised to pay attention to radio/TV announcements on the latest traffic and transport arrangement, allow more travelling time to cater for unexpected delay and use non-road based public transport means. Also, motorists are advised to avoid driving to above areas unless necessary.
