The delegation of the Legislative Council concluded its visit in Northern Europe yesterday (September 20) and returned to Hong Kong today (September 21).
On the last day of its visit, the delegation visited the Danish Design Centre (DDC) in Copenhagen, Denmark, and met with Ms Iben Højer Hansen, Senior Project Manager of the DDC, to learn about the support provided to the creative industry in Denmark.
The delegation then visited a chocolate manufacturer, Peter Beier Chokolade, where Members obtained information of the latest development of food processing industry in Denmark, illustrated with the chocolate manufacturing industry.
Before departure for Hong Kong, Ms Emily Lau and Mr Chung Kwok-pan, Leader and Deputy Leader of the delegation, concluded that the visit was very successful in widening the political horizons of the participating Members and enhancing their understanding of the parliamentary affairs in the countries visited.
During its eight-day parliamentary visit, the delegation visited Finland, Norway and Denmark for the purpose of strengthening the ties with the Legislatures in these countries, fostering mutual understanding and keeping them informed of the latest developments in Hong Kong.
