Hongkong Post today (September 3) announced that "HONG KONG 2015 - 31st Asian International Stamp Exhibition Stamp Sheetlet Series No. 1" will be released for sale with associated philatelic products on September 18 (Thursday).
The four-day "HONG KONG 2015 - 31st Asian International Stamp Exhibition", a major international philatelic event showcasing stamp exhibits from all over the world, will be held from November 20 to 23, 2015, at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.
To mark the occasion, Hongkong Post is issuing a series of three stamp sheetlets. Series No. 1 will be released on September 18 this year, and Series No. 2 and No. 3 will be issued on November 20 and 23, 2015 (i.e. the opening and closing days of the stamp exhibition), respectively. In keeping with the theme of the exhibition, "Shopping and Dining", silhouettes of consumer goods and gourmet food create handbag and dinner plate patterns on Stamp Sheetlet Series No. 1. With the first-ever addition of perforations on four sides, the stamp sheetlet looks like an oversize stamp in its unique design.
Official First Day Covers will be on sale at $1.20 each at all post offices from tomorrow (September 4). Stamp sheetlet Series No. 1 and associated philatelic products will be displayed at the General Post Office, Tsim Sha Tsui Post Office, Tsuen Wan Post Office, Sha Tin Central Post Office and Tuen Mun Central Post Office from the same day. Advance orders for servicing self-provided covers will be accepted at all philatelic offices from tomorrow to September 10.
