Leading organisers invited for Hong Kong ICT Awards 2015

     The Government is inviting proposals from organisations interested in participating as leading organisers of the Hong Kong ICT Awards 2015.

     Launched in 2006 and steered by the Office of the Government Chief Information Officer, the annual Hong Kong ICT Awards aims at recognising and promoting outstanding information and communications technology (ICT) solutions and applications, thereby encouraging innovation and excellence among Hong Kong's ICT talent and enterprises in their constant pursuit of creative and better solutions to meet business and social needs.

     There will be 10 award categories reflecting the priorities in Hong Kong's ICT development. Each leading organiser will be responsible for recruiting entries and managing the adjudication in the designated award category. The leading organisers, which can be professional bodies, trade associations or non-profit organisations, are selected through a competitive bidding process.

     The Hong Kong ICT Awards 2015 comprises the following 10 categories:

* Best Business Solution Award
* Best Digital Entertainment Award
* Best Digital Inclusion Award
* Best ICT Startup Award
* Best Innovation Award
* Best Lifestyle Award
* Best Mobile Apps Award
* Best Smart Hong Kong Award
* Best SME ICT Award
* Best Student Invention Award

     Non-profit organisations interested in participating as a leading organiser for any one of the award categories should contact the secretariat office of the Hong Kong ICT Awards (email: info@hkictawards.hk) to obtain a proposal form. The deadline for submission of proposals is September 2, 2014.
