Free tap dance theatre production "The Wish of Tap Tap" to be staged at Tai Po Civic Centre (with photos)
***********************************************************

The tap dance theatre production "The Wish of Tap Tap" will be staged at the Tai Po Civic Centre Auditorium on July 29 and 30 (Tuesday and Wednesday) at 2.30pm and 4pm. Presented by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department, the show will take the audience on an adventurous journey concerning love and friendship.

The R&T (Rhythm & Tempo) group will combine tap dance and storytelling in this theatre production. In the show, Tap Tap the Tinman has a metallic body and makes noises when he moves. This causes many arguments with his friend Po Po the hippo. A king then sends the conceited Tap Tap, together with Po Po and a sorceress, to search for the Crystal of Love. During their journey, the trio learn about respect and appreciation, and also make some amazing new friends. This programme also features balloon twisting and an interactive session in which children can join in the fun of the exciting journey.

"The Wish of Tap Tap" is a supporting programme of the large-scale summer festival International Arts Carnival. It will be conducted in Cantonese. No tickets are required but admission is on a first-come, first-served basis.
