The following is issued on behalf of the Hong Kong Housing Authority:

Ballots were drawn today (July 24) for the sale of Home Ownership Scheme (HOS) flats in Tin Lee Court / Tin Chung Court to determine applicants' order of flat selection. The Chairman of the Hong Kong Housing Authority (HA) Subsidised Housing Committee, Mr Stanley Wong, officiated at the ballot drawing.

The HA is offering 85 flats in Tin Lee Court, Tai O, in this sale exercise, with saleable areas ranging from 44.4 square metres to 45.1 square metres. By applying a discount of 30 per cent to the assessed market values, the prices of the flats range from $641,100 to $897,300, reflecting different attributes of individual flats including orientation, aspect and others.

The selling price of the rescinded flat in Block L at Tin Chung Court, Tin Shui Wai, with a saleable area of 60.4 square metres, is set at the same discount and is $1,934,300.

Some 12 500 applications were received, of which about 12 200 were White Forms and about 300 were Green Forms.

The Housing Department (HD) will vet the applications according to the ballot results, and will send out notifications in batches to invite eligible applicants to go to the office of the HOS Sales Unit in Lok Fu for flat selection commencing in late August. The applicants may make appointments to view the selected flats after flat selection. They are required to sign the Agreement for Sale and Purchase on the next working day after flat selection at the latest.

The ballot results have been uploaded to a dedicated webpage at the HA/HD website at www.housingauthority.gov.hk/mini-site/hos-tlc-tcc/en/ballot-results.html. The priority list of the applications will be uploaded tomorrow (July 25) to the webpage.
