Appointments to ACPE and SCCS

     The Government announced today (July 11) that the Chief Executive has made appointments/re-appointments to the Advisory Committee on Post-service Employment of Civil Servants (ACPE) and the Standing Commission on Civil Service Salaries and Conditions of Service (SCCS).

     For the ACPE, the Chief Executive has re-appointed Mrs Jean Au Yeung Lui Miu-kwan as a member for a term of two years from July 17, 2014 to July 16, 2016.

     For the SCCS, the Chief Executive has appointed Ms Angela Lee Wai-yin as a new member and re-appointed Dr Wilfred Wong Ying-wai as Chairman and Dr Carrie Willis Yau Sheung-mui and Miss Elaine Chan Wing-yi as members. These appointments/re-appointments are for two years with effect from August 1, 2014 to July 31, 2016.

     The Government expresses its gratitude for the service and valuable contributions of Mr Owen Chan Shui-shing who will retire from the SCCS by end-July 2014.

     The ACPE advises the Government on matters relating to the post-service employment of civil servants. It is currently under the chairmanship of Dr Moses Cheng Mo-chi. Other serving members are Professor Chan Yuk-shee, Mr Vincent Cheng Hoi-chuen, Professor Paul Lam Kwan-sing, Mr Lee Ming-kwai, Mr Vincent Lo Wing-sang, Mr Francis Mok Gar-lon and Miss Melissa Wu.

     The SCCS advises the Government on the principles and practices governing the pay and conditions of service of non-directorate civilian civil servants. Other serving members are Mr Ignatius Chan Tze-ching, Mr Lee Luen-fai, Mr Joseph Lo Kin-ching, Professor Suen Wing-chuen, Mr Tony Tse Wai-chuen and Mr Wilfred Wong Kam-pui.

     The secretariat support of both the ACPE and the SCCS is provided by the Joint Secretariat for the Advisory Bodies on Civil Service and Judicial Salaries and Conditions of Service.
