Final two weeks of "Legends of the Giant Dinosaurs" exhibition (with photos)
****************************************************

The popular exhibition "Legends of the Giant Dinosaurs", now being held at the Hong Kong Science Museum, will come to an end on April 9. Those who have not yet visited the exhibition - the largest of its type ever held in Hong Kong - should grab the chance to do so in the coming two weeks.

A spokesperson for the Hong Kong Science Museum today (March 27) noted that the exhibition has received more than 680 000 visitors over the past four months since its opening on November 8. Attendance of the exhibition has not only surpassed the figure of 280 000 visitors for the earlier exhibition "Soaring Dinosaurs" in 2007, but has also broken the records for thematic exhibitions held at the museum.

"Legends of the Giant Dinosaurs" is also the most popular exhibition organised by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) since "Animated Version of the Riverside Scene at Qingming Festival" was held in 2010.

The spokesperson said the "Legends of the Giant Dinosaurs" exhibition, which is the largest and best dinosaur exhibition ever held locally in terms of scale and content, has been well received by the public. It is expected that the exhibition will attract more than 700 000 visitors in total.

As the exhibition will close in two weeks, it is likely that a great number of visitors will seize the final opportunity to visit it. The spokesperson advised visitors to plan ahead for their visit arrangements and to see the exhibition on weekdays to avoid overcrowding.

Presented by the LCSD and organised by the Hong Kong Science Museum, the exhibition is solely sponsored by the Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust and is one of three exhibitions in the 2013 Hong Kong Jockey Club Series.

The standard admission fee for the exhibition is $20. Full-time students, people with disabilities and senior citizens aged 60 or above are eligible for half-price concessionary tickets. Free admission on Wednesday is not applicable for this special exhibition. Children under 4 years old are entitled to free admission when accompanied by an adult with tickets. LCSD Museum Pass holders are also entitled to free admission.

Located at 2 Science Museum Road, Tsim Sha Tsui East, Kowloon, the exhibition is open from 10am to 7pm on weekdays, and from 10am to 9pm on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. It is closed on Thursdays (except public holidays).
