The Government Property Agency is inviting tenders for a three-year tenancy of a government property on the Upper Deck and the western side of the Lower Deck of North Point (East) Ferry Pier. The tender notice was gazetted today (February 28).
The property should be used for the purposes of:
(a) a pier for the berthing of the tenant's vessels subject to the requisite licence(s), permit(s) or approval(s) from the relevant Government departments and other appropriate authorities for the use of the tenant's vessels and the carrying on of any business therein;
(b) any one or any combination of the following: currency exchange, photographic studio, souvenir shop, showroom, tourist information office and travel/ticket agency ancillary to pier use subject to prior written approval of the landlord. The businesses are to be operated only in kiosks in such locations to be first approved in writing by the landlord, each having an area of not greater than 10 square metres and the total number of the kiosks shall not exceed five.
Tender documents are available for collection at the Government Property Agency, 31/F, Revenue Tower, 5 Gloucester Road, Wan Chai, during office hours (8.30am to 5.45pm from Mondays to Fridays). The documents can also be downloaded from the Agency's website: www.gpa.gov.hk.
Interested bidders who wish to inspect the site should make prior appointment with the Government Property Agency by calling 2594 7697 on or before March 12 this year.
Bidders must submit their tenders by placing them in the Government Logistics Department Tender Box at the ground floor, North Point Government Offices, 333 Java Road, North Point, Hong Kong, before noon on March 24 this year. Late tenders will not be accepted.
