The Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) is inviting performing arts groups/organisations to submit proposals for a new round of the three-year Venue Partnership Scheme from April 2015 to March 2018. The deadline for submissions is 5.30pm on April 30, 2014.
The Venue Partnership Scheme aims to foster partnerships between performance venues and performing arts groups/organisations, with the objectives of enhancing the artistic image and character of the venue and its partner, enlarging the audience base, optimising usage of facilities, developing venue-based marketing strategies, facilitating arts sponsorship, encouraging community involvement in arts development, and promoting arts in the community.
The second round of the Venue Partnership Scheme was launched in April 2012 and will end in March 2015. The objectives of the Scheme will be extended to match the concerted efforts of the Venue Partners.
The new round of the Scheme will be implemented at 12 LCSD performing arts venues: Hong Kong City Hall, Hong Kong Cultural Centre, Ngau Chi Wan Civic Centre, Sai Wan Ho Civic Centre, Sheung Wan Civic Centre, Kwai Tsing Theatre, Tsuen Wan Town Hall, Sha Tin Town Hall, North District Town Hall, Tuen Mun Town Hall, Yuen Long Theatre and Yau Ma Tei Theatre.
