Following is the transcript of remarks by the Chief Executive, Mr C Y Leung, at a media session before a meeting of the Executive Council today (January 28):
Reporter: Mr Leung, can you comment on the discovery of the H7 bird flu please?
Chief Executive: This is the fifth time that we have picked up a positive sample in the last 17 years since 1997. And therefore, the Secretary for (Food and) Health announces a series of measures according to the existing policies. I will call upon the entire community including the various sectors involved to pay heed to government advice, to pay attention to personal hygiene, and also follow government's policy decisions.
