Change of implementation days for Mong Kok Pedestrianisation Schemes

     The Transport Department today (January 17) announced that the implementation days of some of the pedestrian schemes in Mong Kok will be changed starting next Monday (January 20).

     The pedestrian streets involved are the section of Sai Yeung Choi Street South between Argyle Street and Dundas Street, the section of Nelson Street between Sai Yeung Choi Street South and Fa Yuen Street, and the section of Soy Street between Sai Yeung Choi Street South and Fa Yuen Street. The implementation hours for the three road sections will be changed to 4pm to 10pm on Saturdays, and noon to 10pm on Sundays and public holidays. The road sections will be open to vehicular traffic from Mondays to Fridays.

     The pedestrian scheme implementation hours for the section of Tung Choi Street between Argyle Street and Dundas Street, which are from 4pm to midnight from Mondays to Saturdays and from noon to midnight on Sundays and public holidays, will remain unchanged.

     Except for those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, drivers of all motor vehicles will be prohibited from driving into the above pedestrian streets during the implementation hours.
