Hongkong Post today (November 28) announced that following the approval of the Post Office (Amendment) Regulation 2013 by the Legislative Council, miscellaneous postal fees under the Post Office Regulations (Cap. 98A), including rental fees for postal boxes and private bags, fees for redirection of postal packets, fees for registration and compulsory registration as well as fees for recorded delivery, will be adjusted from December 1, 2013. The Post Office (Amendment) Regulation 2013 was published in the Gazette on October 4, 2013.
"These postal fees have not been revised for over 15 years and all the services involved are operating at a loss," a Hongkong Post spokesman said.
Details of the postal fee adjustments are attached.
