*********************************************************

The Leisure and Cultural Services Department will hold the community thematic carnival "Fun Fun Sheung Shui" at Sheung Shui Garden No. 1 (at the junction of Lung Sum Avenue and Chi Cheong Road) this Sunday (November 3) from 2.30pm to 5.30pm. The event will feature a variety of entertainment, with DJ Leung Nai-kan as master of ceremonies. Admission to all programmes is free.

Emerging singers Hoffman Cheng and Keeva Mak will perform a number of pop songs, while a singing performance by the Society for Indigenous Learning is also not to be missed. They will sing original folk songs that tell the story of North District's history, landmarks and produce.

Other programmes to be showcased include African drumming and Chinese dance by senior citizens; hip hop, jazz and break dancing by youth groups; and children's Latin dance performances. There will also be magic, rope skipping, a marching band, cheerleading, puppetry and ukulele performances by local groups. Workshops featuring decorative handicrafts will also be set up with local senior citizens as instructors.
