New e-APS service makes booking and payment for LCSD performance venues even easier
*****************************************************

The Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) has launched the new e-APS service to tie in with the increasing use of the Internet. Members of the public can now use the online system to submit booking applications and settle payments for all 16 of the LCSD's performance venues anytime and anywhere.

The system is applicable to making bookings for 14 performing arts venues and two stadia, namely Hong Kong City Hall, the Hong Kong Cultural Centre, Sai Wan Ho Civic Centre, Sheung Wan Civic Centre, the Yau Ma Tei Theatre, Ko Shan Theatre, Ngau Chi Wan Civic Centre, Sha Tin Town Hall, Tsuen Wan Town Hall, Tuen Mun Town Hall, Kwai Tsing Theatre, Yuen Long Theatre, North District Town Hall and Tai Po Civic Centre, as well as the Hong Kong Coliseum and Queen Elizabeth Stadium.

The new system offers a fast and convenient online platform for the public to apply to book various performance venues without having to submit an application form by post or in person.

     Other features of e-APS include:

* Online submission of required documents: Organisations can now submit their registration documents together with their online applications, and there is no need to submit the documents again in their subsequent applications to book any other performing venues.
* Saving and restoring inputted data: For the convenience of frequent users, the system allows users to save their inputted application to their own computer, and by using the "restore" function users can retrieve saved records for submitting further applications later.
* Venues and facilities information: Information on all performance venues and their facilities, including Booking Arrangements and Scale of Hire Charges, are available in the system.
* Venues search: The public can search for information on venue facilities based on the region, type of event or seating capacity.

Besides being able to apply to book LCSD performance venues through e-APS, members of the public can still submit application forms to venue booking offices by post or in person. The booking office of the respective venue will process all applications received according to the prevailing procedure.
