*********************************************************

The following is issued on behalf of the Hospital Authority:

The spokesman for the Hong Kong East Cluster (HKEC) today (July 31) announced the service suspension of Anne Black General Out-patient Clinic (1/F, 140 Tsat Tse Mui Road, North Point) from next month to January 2014 due to renovation works on the clinic to improve its facilities and environment. The clinic's service will be suspended from this Saturday (August 3) and will resume in January 2014 upon completion of the renovation.

The spokesman said patients with chronic illnesses or requiring wound care have already been informed and arrangements have been made for them to attend follow-up appointments at Sai Wan Ho General Out-patient Clinic (address: 1/F, 28 Tai Hong Street, Sai Wan Ho; tel: 2513 9808) during the renovation period. Patients with episodic illnesses are advised to make appointments at the five nearby clinics in the cluster (details are appended) via the telephone booking system. Service arrangements will be made by the clinics to meet the demand in the renovation period.

"HKEC has already informed the public as well as residents in the district of the general clinic service arrangement through various channels, including poster notices, information leaflets, reminder messages in the General Out-patient Clinic telephone booking system, and briefings to respective district councillors," the spokesman added.
