Young Cantonese Opera Artists Series presents Hong Kong Young Talent Cantonese Opera Troupe

     The Leisure and Cultural Services Department has invited the Hong Kong Young Talent Cantonese Opera Troupe to stage three traditional Cantonese Opera performances in September for the Young Cantonese Opera Artists Series. The series provides an opportunity for up-and-coming Cantonese opera performers to showcase their talent on the stage.

     In addition to members of the troupe, which includes Lam Tin-yau, Cheng Nga-kei, Lai Yiu-wai, Lam Tsz-ching, Yuen Sin-ting, Wong Kit-ching, Kwan Hoi-shan, Hong Wah and Wong Po-hyun, the guest actors Johnson Yuen, Kwok Kai-fai, Wan Yuk-Yu and Tam Wing-lun are invited to participate in this programme.

September 4 (Wednesday) 7.30pm
The Theatre, Yau Ma Tei Theatre
"The Nymph of Luo River"
Main Cast: Yuen Sin-ting, Lam Tsz-ching, Johnson Yuen (Guest), Wong Po-hyun, Kwok Kai-fai (Guest), Hong Wah, Lai Yiu-wai

September 7 (Saturday) 7.30pm
The Auditorium, Tai Po Civic Centre
"The Outburst of a Shrew"
Main Cast: Lam Tin-yau, Cheng Nga-kei, Wan Yuk-Yu (Guest), Wong Po-hyun, Tam Wing-lun (Guest), Wong Kit-ching, Kwan Hoi-shan

September 25 (Wednesday) 7.30pm
The Theatre, Sheung Wan Civic Centre
"A Comedy of Mistaken Heroes"
Main Cast: Lam Tin-yau, Wong Kit-ching, Johnson Yuen (Guest), Lai Yiu-wai, Lam Tsz-ching, Kwan Hoi-shan

     Tickets ranging from $90 to $140 are now available at all URBTIX outlets, on the Internet and by telephone credit card booking. Half-price tickets are available for senior citizens aged 60 or above, people with disabilities and their minders, full-time students and Comprehensive Social Security Assistance (CSSA) recipients (limited tickets for full-time students and CSSA recipients are available on a first-come, first-served basis).
