"Hong Kong: Our Home" music video launched (with photos)
********************************************************

The music video (MV) for the "Hong Kong: Our Home" Campaign theme song "Sail On" has been released today (June 5).

The MV stars pop icons Jacky Cheung and Eason Chan and features a variety of scenes taken from daily life in Hong Kong. It runs for almost four-and-a-half minutes.

A reduced one-minute version has been shown on local TV stations since last Friday (May 31).

The theme song "Sail On" adopts a sampling approach, using part of the iconic melody "Below the Lion Rock" combined with a new score by Eric Kwok and lyrics by Abrahim Chan.

"Below the Lion Rock" is closely associated with the Hong Kong spirit of perseverance, mutual help and care, while the new twist celebrates Hong Kong's ability to move forward, innovate and grow without losing sight of its core values.

The "Hong Kong: Our Home" Campaign was launched by the Chief Secretary for Administration, Mrs Carrie Lam, on April 23. It will run until the end of the year.

The city-wide public participation Campaign aims to inject positive energy into society, foster social cohesion and promote care, mutual help and solidarity in the community.

The Campaign provides a platform to enhance the publicity of events and activities that engage a wide cross-section of the community and showcase Hong Kong as a liveable and enjoyable city, giving residents a greater sense of pride in their home and a stronger sense of belonging.

So far, over 570 events and activities involving more than 210 partner organisations, as well as government bureaux and departments have been included in the Campaign events calendar.

The MV can be viewed on the Campaign website www.hkourhome.gov.hk and YouTube channel www.youtube.com/hkourhome.
